Alemani: Dembele should leave Barcelona for the benefit of both sides

Barcelona director Matteo Alemani said today that striker Ousmane Dembele should leave the club before the end of the January transfer period in the interest of both parties and until the club receives a fee for his transfer, as his contract expires next June.

Alemani added in an interview with Barcelona TV, “The club has already informed Dembele of the need to leave immediately. We have done enough for the player to make the right decision about his future. We are now 11 days away from closing the transfer period and he must leave as soon as possible for the benefit of both parties.”

Dembele joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, but failed to leave his mark with the Spanish club, who paid 105 million euros, equivalent to 119.11 million dollars, for his services and scored only 31 goals in 129 games.

There are concerns in Barcelona, ​​which has debts of more than 1.35 billion euros, about the possibility of the player leaving for free at the end of the season if he does not renew his contract.
