Led by their pivot Joel Embiid who broke his personal best by scoring 50 points, the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Orlando Magic 123-110 on Wednesday.
The Cameroonian giant, who only stayed 26 minutes on the floor, managed 17 of his 23 shots and 15 of his 17 free throws.

In a particularly contested third quarter, Embiid allowed his team, with 23 points scored, to take a decisive 94-80 lead, after trailing by ten points at halftime.

,” Embiid, whose stats for the night also show 12 rebounds and three blocks, told NBATV.

I play my game, I dominate as I have done all season
," continued the best player of the evening.
In the fourth quarter, Embiid played less than a minute but scored three points, all on free throws, then letting his team wrap up the game.
The Cameroonian thus joins Wilt Chamberlain and Allen Iverson, the only 76ers to have managed games with more than 50 points.
On the Magic side, Mo Bamba also reached the highest of his career with 32 points, including 28 in the first quarter.
The Nets get away with it
In Washington, the Brooklyn Nets got out of the trap of the Wizards, signing a very narrow victory 119-118, their first since the knee injury, Saturday, of their star Kevin Durant.
Kyrie Irving led the Nets with 30 points, his highest mark since returning to the team despite refusing to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Irving can only play outdoor matches, the vaccination obligation in force in New York preventing him from treading the floor of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Led by 16 points in the third quarter, Kyle Kuzma allowed to come back to a single point with 36.6 seconds left in the game.
Irving's three-point miss kept hope alive for the hosts, but Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie's final three-point attempts failed.
The Nets retain third place in the Eastern Conference behind Chicago and Miami.
The Bulls ended a four-game winless streak by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 117-104.
The Heat beat the Portland Trail Blazers 104-92 in Miami.
