Successful start to the year: the youngest offspring of the Ski Club Starnberg impresses in Tyrol

In Tyrol, the U8 and U10 skiers of SC Starnberg started the year.

At the Kirchheimer SC children's race, they clinched five wins and two more podium places.

Starnberg – With the Kirchheimer SC children's race in Söll in Tirol, the first challenge of the new year awaited the youngest up-and-coming Alpine skiers at SC Starnberg.

Both the athletes of the age groups U8 and U10 were in action - and quite successfully.

There were five class wins and two more podium places for the ski club to celebrate.

For head coach Tissi Pohlus, there is no question that trainer Ingrid Zauner also deserves credit.

"No other club would afford a full-time trainer at this age group," he said, not without pride.

"The professional training bears fruit, it's always good for motivation to be able to keep up when you get a taste of racing."

Great joy for coaches and young skiers at SC Starnberg

Ingrid Zauner herself was also satisfied with the performance of her protégés.

"I saw the children's great joy at finally being able to race again," said the young trainer.

She received support from assistant trainer Romy Maier.

The next big test for the young skiers of SC Starnberg is coming weekend at the SVM racing series of the Rossignol Hero Kids Cup at the Spieljoch in Fügen.

The ski club wants to take part there with twelve children.

The anticipation is already great, as Pohlus emphasizes.

His simple recipe: "Success motivates."
