The big triumph was denied to the TSV Peiting curlers at the Bundesliga final in their home hall.

Nevertheless, they were satisfied - and are among the favorites in the DM.

Peiting – It wasn't quite enough for the really big coup. In the final, the stick shooters of TSV Peiting had to give up. The TSV quintet with Ulrike Lachenmayer, Franziska Lindner, Christina Drechsler, Selina Steber and Sabine Hipp lost 23:37 to EC Passau-Neustift in the women's Bundesliga final in the local Peitinger ice rink. Nevertheless, Christian Lindner, the President of the World Stock Sports Association and an active player in Peiting, gave a lot of praise. Second place in a strong field of 16 teams "is also a strong performance".

The women from Peiting started the tournament with a clear 4:0 (18:8, 24:10) win over SC Gattering.

The quarter-finals that followed were much more exciting and close.

The TSV ladies parted from FC Untertraubenbach in the end with a 2:2 (15:13, 13:15) draw.

"That was a tough nut to crack," said team captain Ulrike Lachenmayer after both teams made a few mistakes.

Due to the better placement in the first half of the season - Peiting finished second, Untertraubenbach third - the hosts advanced to the semi-finals.

TSV Peiting really turns up the heat in the semifinals

There they met EC Gerabach. The team from the district of Landshut around former Peitinger Regina Gilg got off to a much better start. The first game went so clearly with 22:10 to the Stockschützinnen from Niederbayern. In the second game, however, the Peitingen women turned up the heat. With 22:8 they secured the game and thus also progress, as they were just ahead of the stick points with 32:30.

It was similar in the final against Passau-Neustift.

The hostesses clearly messed up the first game.

They couldn't iron out the 8:24 defeat in the second game.

With a 15:13 success, they equalized to 2:2, but the women from Passau had a clear lead with 37:23 in terms of stock points, so that they were able to celebrate the championship title.

The hostesses were satisfied with the silver medal, which also qualified them for the German championships on Sunday, January 30th in Ruhpolding.
