Dembélé does it again
An air of deja-vu.
As against Troyes last weekend (0-1), Moussa Dembélé gave OL a precious victory by scoring the only goal of the match from the penalty spot.
The Lyon striker did everything on this action, since it was him who pushed Kolodziejczak to make a mistake in the area.
Determining, and author of a beautiful inspiration on the occasion badly negotiated by Aouar at the end of the first period.

Guimaraes' activity
Within a dominating Lyon midfield, Bruno Guimaraes particularly stood out. The Brazilian midfielder quickly got the better of his Saint-Etienne counterparts. Aggressive in recovery, and fair in construction. Omnipresent, with in the end 98 balls affected. At his side, Maxence Caqueret also made a good copy.
Bernardoni irreproachable
Side Etienne, Paul Bernardoni was clearly the best element.
At 1-0, the Forézien goalkeeper had to intervene several times to keep his team alive in this derby.
Author in particular of two beautiful parades against Aouar (38th, 56th).
Only Dembélé managed to deceive his vigilance, on penalty.
"I'm being had like an ox" railed on Prime Video the former Angevin, taken on the wrong foot on this action.
FLOPS
Kolodziejczak still guilty
As a symbol of ASSE's disastrous season, Timothée Kolodziejczak was once again found guilty during this derby. This time, the Saint-Etienne captain provoked a very avoidable penalty on Dembélé. Completely out of time, the veteran of the Forez defense got his team off to a bad start in this derby. The Greens have never been able to recover from this umpteenth error.
Greens too limited
ASSE has once again displayed its current limits. Certainly decimated by absences, due to injuries or the CAN, the Greens again appeared powerless on the offensive level. Between technical waste and bad choices, the men of Pascal Dupraz were never able to pack the meeting, against Lyonnais who did not breathe serenity in the second half. In the end, Saint-Etienne only got one chance, on his only shot on target. Too little to avoid a seventh consecutive defeat in Ligue 1.
Dubois rang then KO
Dirty evening for Léo Dubois.
Holder on his right side, the Lyon captain was forced to leave his family just before the break, stunned after taking two big shocks to the head (28th, 44th).
Ironically, the French international was hit following unfortunate duels with two of his teammates, Da Silva then Dembélé…
