There are two other corona cases in the German handball team.
Sebastian Firnhaber and Christoph Steinert are affected, whose PCR tests on Friday evening were positive.
As the German Handball Federation (DHB) announced, the CT values "indicate a low level of infectivity".
Steinert and Firnhaber are cases 12 and 13 in the German team, both players have gone into complete isolation in their rooms in the EM quarters in Bratislava.
Steinert had already tested positive for the corona virus on Wednesday, but was allowed to play for a short time on Thursday against Spain (11:29 p.m.) after two negative results.
The left-hander was also on the field on Friday against Norway (23:28).
Circle runner Firnhaber was nominated because of the many corona cases, but has not yet played a game at the European Championship.
For the German handball players, who only have outsider chances for the semi-finals, the tournament continues on Sunday (6 p.m. / ARD) against Sweden in the third main round game.
