I was not moved or shocked this week by the segment from the sports channel that ran on Twitter, with the song by Eyal Lachman and Raz Zehavi about Betar Jerusalem. And these are a duo that even they do not take themselves seriously. The problem is not in them, but in the general atmosphere that was around Stefan Malul. The problem is the general vibe that made this sketch possible. The eccentric type and the "delusional affair".

So no, this is not an "illusory" affair, but a sad and disturbing case, a symbol of all the failure and hopelessness in the industry.

It might have been possible to have fun for a few minutes from the puzzling interviews that Mr. Malul gave to the media, but there is a luxury club here that is collapsing, and its treatment is outrageous.

One should not laugh, but worry about the ease with which such a person enters the picture, gets headlines.

To worry about why his candidacy is being raised in the first place, why a press release is coming out about him, why he is being considered as an option, and what will happen next.
