The DSV team did not start with the best cast.
Antholz – The German replacement relay surprisingly made it onto the podium at the Biathlon World Cup in Antholz.
The DSV quartet with Roman Rees, Philipp Horn, David Zobel and Lukas Fratzscher took a great third place after strong performances on the shooting range.
It was the second top 3 result of the winter after second place in Ruhpolding.
Almost two weeks before the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing (February 4th to 20th), the Norwegians around the brothers Johannes Thingnes and Tarjei Bö underlined their role as favorites with their third win of the season.
They won impressively in 1:12:14.7 hours with four spares ahead of Russia (1+12/+1:57.2 minutes) and the DSV team (+2:04.4), which also only had four spares performed.
