Burkina Faso qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup after defeating Gabon on penalties today.
Bertrand Traore scored a goal in the 28th minute of the match for Burkina Faso, so that Gabon's Bruno Ekwele Manga scored the equalizer in the 91st minute.
The two teams resorted to extra time after a positive tie with a goal for each of them, but the decision was made by penalty kicks, which Burkina Faso won 7-6.
The Burkinabe team is expected to face the winner of the Tunisia-Nigeria match in the quarter-finals.
