FC Bayern is apparently working on a transfer of a Bundesliga star.
Ex-captain Stefan Effenberg rejects the change and makes a tough decision.
Munich - As soon as a new year begins, the transfer market also picks up speed.
The winter transfer window is open until the end of January.
So there is enough time for the clubs to strengthen themselves with new staff or to bag a newcomer for the summer.
FC Bayern* had initially emphasized that they did not want to become active.
However, that can change very quickly in day-to-day football.
Most recently, the record champion was hit by corona cases and injuries.
Bayern are said to be keen on Gladbach's Denis Zakaria, who is also on the summer free transfer list.
Ex-Bayern captain Stefan Effenberg rigorously rejects the Swiss player's move to Munich.
FC Bayern: Effenberg makes a tough decision about transfer target Zakaria
“A change from defensive midfielder Denis Zakaria to FC Bayern is said to be particularly hot.
I have to say: A player from this Gladbach team has no place in Bayern," Effe rumbles in his column on

.
Borussia Mönchengladbach knocked Bayern out of the DFB-Pokal 5-0 at the end of October, only to lose 3-0 at second division side Hannover 96 in the next round.
In the Bundesliga, the Foals are in a disappointing 12th place before the 20th matchday and have to look down.

"This is another level that others have already bitten their teeth off - from former super talent Renato Sanches to Marcel Sabitzer currently.
One or the other at Gladbach obviously overestimates themselves,” adds Effenberg.
35 million transfer Sanches moved to Lille after three years in 2019 for a loss of 15 million euros and became French champions last season.
After moving from Leipzig, Sabitzer has not yet been able to assert himself in Bayern's midfield and most recently had to help out as a left-back.
"If your advisor has put nonsense in your head, you can't just get it out again.
Then you have in mind: If this is not so successful here, then I will probably change clubs.
That's exactly how they're playing football at the moment," says Effenberg.
FC Bayern: Nagelsmann talks about a possible transfer from Zakaria
In addition to Zakaria, national player Matthias Ginter was also recently associated with FC Bayern.
Both did not want to extend their contract in Mönchengladbach and would be available on a free transfer in the summer.
According to reports, the Gladbachers want to sell Zakaria in the winter in order to obtain a fee.

Nagelsmann: "Duty to discuss"
"I think a lot of Bundesliga players are good," said Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann at the press conference on Friday when asked about Zakaria.
It is a duty for clubs to discuss free football professionals - especially in financially difficult Corona times.
But it was "rather media rumors and things that are in the media," explained Nagelsmann.
FC Bayern is apparently planning Zakaria as a new all-purpose weapon à la Martinez.
The Spaniard also helped out as a central defender until his departure in the summer.
With defensive midfielder Zakaria, Bayern could also react to the imminent free transfers of Niklas Süle and Corentin Tolisso.
