Monte-Carlo Rally: Sébastien Loeb becomes the oldest winner in the world championship at 47

2022-01-23T14:09:06.305Z

Frenchman Sébastien Loeb (M-Sport Ford), who turns 48 on February 26, becomes the oldest driver to win in the world championship (WRC) after his victory in Rallye Monte-Carlo ahead of Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) on Sunday.

With his new co-driver Isabelle Galmiche, the nine-time world champion offered himself an 80th victory in the WRC and an 8th Monte-Carlo.

He equaled the success record in the Principality held by his compatriot Ogier, unfortunate 2nd after a puncture in the penultimate special.

The years pass and Sébastien Loeb seems determined to win a few more victories before ending his racing career.
