Men
Rafael Nadal
(6) was the first of the men to secure a place in the quarterfinals, after a show reminiscent of being forgotten in a 6: 7 (14), 2: 6, 2: 6 victory over 33-year-old Adrian Manarino, who is ranked 69th in the world.
The Spanish bull worked very hard to win the first set, and came across a tiebreaker from the films that lasted no less than 28 minutes, during which he saved four battle points and defeated it only at his seventh battle point, showcasing his familiar fighting spirit.
Things then went much smoother for him, and he completed a third win in three games against Manarino, en route to qualifying No. 14 for the quarter-finals in Melbourne.
Nadal will meet the winner of the quarterfinals in perhaps the most intriguing game in the eighth.
Sasha Zebrav (3) will play against Dennis Shpovalov (14).
Zebrav has yet to drop a battle in the tournament and looks in good shape, while Povalov needed four sets twice and once won five sets.
This will be the seventh meeting between the two with Zebrav leading 2: 4, but they have not yet met in the Grand Slam.
The Serbian Muyamir Katzmanovic (77) was supposed to meet Novak Djokovic in the first round, but remember this game did not take place.
Katzmanovic, 22, took full advantage of the lottery change and reached the Grand Slam quarterfinals for the first time in his career (his record achievement was a second round so far).
Now a date awaits him with 35-year-old Gal Monfis, who has yet to drop a match in the tournament and wants to reach the quarter-finals in Melbourne for the first time since 2016. Monfis defeated Katzmanovic at the Masters Paris.
The winner will play against Matteo Bartini (7) or Pablo Carnio Busta (19), in what will be their second meeting.
The Italian has survived a very tough game against Carlos Alcras in the third round and will now try to reach the quarter-finals in Melbourne for the first time in his career.

Osaka's dismissal left Ashley Barty as a clear favorite to win the home tournament. The Australian, who is ranked first and has already won two Grand Slam titles, has so far cruised to three easy victories in the tournament. Now the talented Amanda Anisimova is waiting for her, who suffered an injury that slightly halted her career progress after previously reaching the semi-finals at Roland Garros, where she lost to Barty in the only meeting between the two so far. The winner will meet
Jessica Pegola
(21), who left another top 10 ranked out of the quarterfinals with a 6: 7 (0), 3: 6 victory over Maria Scari (5).
The one who is left out of the quarterfinals is Victoria Azarenka, who until tonight dropped only nine games in the tournament and looked in great shape. The Belarusian (25) was defeated 6: 2, 6: 2 by the champion of Roland Garros
Barbara Krajicikova
(4), in a game in which she suffered from neck pain, and was unable to restore her ability from previous games. Kreichikova is waiting for the quarterfinals
