Summary: PSV - Ajax 2: 1 (Sport 1)
Wide smiles were recorded tonight (Sunday) among Ajax players and men after the 1: 2 game of the season over PSV Eindhoven, who raised the champion to first place in the Netherlands at the expense of her rival, who dropped to second place. Eran Zehavi came off the bench only in the 87th minute, and failed to help his teammates achieve the equalizer. The moment that everyone will remember from the game without a doubt, is the guest's winning goal, which was approved even though the ball looked as if it had crossed the outside line before it was put into the box.
"Scandal in the game of the season", was one of the headlines given to Ajax's second goal, scored in the 74th minute by Nussair Mazrawi. "A controversial gate," the Dutch Tel-Kharaf called it. Despite the goal confirmation, Ajax were definitely better, dominated the game and went out for more attacks.
Eindhoven came up without a natural striker in the home game against their big rival and fell behind in the 34th minute from a goal by Brian Robbie. Mario Getza equalized for the host in the 53rd minute, but as mentioned it was not enough for Roger Schmidt's team.
