Tom Brady failed with defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL playoffs en route to the Super Bowl.

Will the quarterback announce his retirement?

Munich - Suspense up to the last second: The NFL playoffs ensure a crazy football spectacle in the divisional round with crazy twists and turns in the final phase.

Four teams are still in the race and will be fighting next Sunday (January 30) for entry into the Super Bowl on February 13 in Los Angeles.

NFL Playoffs: Brady misses Super Bowl despite mega comeback – resignation possible

For superstar Tom Brady and Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the dream of successfully defending the NFL title was shattered dramatically early on.

The team from Florida lost 27:30 to the Los Angels Rams in the quarterfinals of the playoffs despite a furious race to catch up.

It could have been Brady's last game.

"I haven't thought about it much," said the 44-year-old, seven-time NFL champion, who was 3:27 behind and lost to a field goal by Rams kicker Matt Gay four seconds from time.

"We look from day to day and see where we stand."

Brady has said he wants to play at 45 and beyond, but hasn't made a commitment to the franchise yet.
