Why let a coach go who brings success to the club?

VfL Denklingen sees no reason for this and extends the contract with Markus Ansorge.

"You look into each other's eyes and shake hands," says Markus Ansorge, describing the procedure between him and the football department manager at VfL Denklingen.

Within a moment, the manager had his commitment as coach of the first team extended by another season.

What more should be said?

There is no reason to question the relationship between the football coach and his team and the club as a whole.

Ansorge confidently led the team to the championship in the district league 2 in the Corona season.

In the district league south, the promoted team spends the winter in first place, although the club does not have nearly the financial resources as the pursuers from Oberweikertshofen, Haidhausen or Wolfratshausen, who all have to rank behind the newcomer, even though they have played more matches than him .

VfL Denklingen: No expensive transfers, instead a well-rehearsed team

"Everyone has to decide for themselves which way to go," says Ansorge.

The Denklinger way ignores costly transfers that do not create sustainability and only serve the purpose of quick success.

"I don't see any added value in that." The values ​​created by VfL are of a different nature.

The new sports area on the Buchweg is a forum for the entire community to meet, do sports and cultivate the community.

In this spirit, Ansorge looks after a team whose structure sets it apart above all from the competition from Munich.

"The boys played together in kindergarten.

Everyone is there for everyone." There was also agreement on the subject of "vaccination", all kickers have decided to take this step.

"It's also a responsibility that we have," Ansorge refers to the role model function of his players.

Strong back four and Simon Ried as a goalscorer

He maintains open communication with them and exchanges ideas and plans.

"It plays a special role that everyone has their place." The distribution of roles on the field provides that Hannes Rambach, Tobias Ried, Ludwig Kirchbichler and Manuel Waibl form the back four.

The quartet does its job so reliably that the league leaders, along with SV Raisting, conceded the fewest goals (17) in the league.

In attack, Simon Ried has taken on the role of the goalscorer.

With 19 goals, more than half of Denklinger's goals (34) go to his account.

He is supported by Dominik Karg, who has hit the bull's eye eight times so far.

But success does not only depend on individual players.

"It's our fast transition game," says Ansorge.

The fact that the whole system is extremely effective and produced eleven wins and three draws with only two defeats is also due to the passion with which its players pursue their hobby.

District League Denklingen: The dream of promotion

This spirit was closely linked to the atmosphere at the Am Forchet Stadium.

Of their eight home games, de VfL won six and drew twice.

“I still get goosebumps when I think about our last appearance against Aubing,” Anorge recalls with awe the old sports ground, which is to be returned to nature in the next few years.

The coach has scheduled five home games for preparation so that his team can feel at home on Buchweg as quickly as possible. Already next Saturday (3 p.m.), January 29th, the eleven will inaugurate the new artificial turf with the test kick against the state league leaders TSV Gilching. The choice of the first sparing partner is an indication of what ambitions the industry leader in the district league is pursuing in the twelve remaining games of the season. Whoever is at the top at half-time can rightly aim for promotion. “We keep dreaming,” Ansorge clarifies.

From today he will do that again together with his footballers.

After he had withdrawn quite a bit over the winter, Ansorge meets up with his kickers for the first time this year at training in the evening.
