From the wing racer to the calf biter: four newcomers to Vatanspor Freising

Vatanspor Freising is making important adjustments and is entering the second half of the season with four newcomers.
One of them even has national league experience.
Freising
– district classist Vatanspor Freising has had an eventful first half of the season: In addition to spectacular results, the picture was mainly characterized by failures and a lack of consistency. An example: At the end of October, Erhan Masat's team dramatically beat leaders Unterbruck 5:3 - and a week later they lost 2:3 at the battered last team from Neufahrn. "I admire Erhan and the squad for being fourth in the table at the winter break, given the squad situation," emphasizes team manager Tamer Bulkurcu.
In some cases, Bulkurcu continued, players had to compete even though they were not fit.
Others had to help out in unfamiliar positions.
In the second half of the season things should go better now – even if center forward Mehmet Cay Türkgücü Erding joined.
Because Vatanspor has other ambitions and is therefore strengthened in winter.
Four new kickers complete the squad.
Talented left winger for Vatanspor Freising
The first new signing from Freising, Ismail Hazar, is reminiscent of the former Vatanspor youngster Leart Bilalli, who left the club for SpVgg Altenerding in the summer: he is quick, tricky and a man for the wing.
The 21-year-old left winger comes from the district league club DJK-SV Altdorf, where they apparently didn't want to let the talent go at all.
“It was anything but easy for us.
That's why it took a long time and was also expensive,” says Bulkurcu.
It was worth the money to the people of Freising.
Finally, Hazar on the wing position – Vatanspor's Achilles' heel – should remedy the situation: “We haven't worked well there so far.
Ismail can help us here with his technology.”
Ahmet Yüksel (26) used to play for TSV Eching in the national league.

28-year-old Patric Barba has been in team training for some time.
According to Bulkurcu, the Italian offered himself to the club.
The former Neufahrner and Mintrachinger has also been eligible to play since January 1st.
"A strong player who sacrifices himself for the team," says Bulkurcu.
The newcomer should play in central midfield or on the sparsely occupied wings.
Barba has even played in goal, but this position is not planned for him at the moment.

With new signing Ahmet Yüksel, Bulkurcu relies primarily on his experience.
He used to play for TSV Eching in the state league and for SV Lohhof in the regional league.
After his station in Palzing, Yüksel now wants to make a fresh start at Vatanspor.
Like Barba, the 26-year-old has settled in well with the team and will primarily be deployed in midfield.
Teoman Tomak (23) strengthens the defense of Vatanspor Freising.

Injuries to Bulkurcu and Co. in the first half of the season were a particular concern in defence.
“We often had to change the defense.
That's not what we aim for," says the team manager.
The club responded to this by signing 23-year-old Teoman Tomak, who comes from Mintraching and, according to Bulkurcu, has already shown that he is "a real calf biter" and never gives up a lost ball.
Vatanspor Freising wants to attack at the top in the medium term
As in previous transfer periods, Vatanspor is also very active in this one.
Anything for the rise?
Bulkurcu: “We're not looking up, at least not yet, let the others do that.
But the second half of the season is also a kind of adjustment for a new team, which should then really attack next season.”
