His injury-related substitution completed Haaland's obviously disappointing weeks with the Westphalians.
After BVB's 5-1 win over SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga, the striker publicly complained about his club.
"For the last six months, out of respect for the club, I have decided not to say anything.
But now I'm being pushed more and more by the club to make a decision," he said in an interview with Norwegian TV broadcaster Viaplay Football: "I just want to play football.
But they are pushing me to make a decision about my future.
They want me to make a decision now, which means something has to happen soon.”
