The district football club TSV Eching, threatened with relegation, recorded six departures during the winter break.

The search for reinforcements is ongoing.

Eching

– After the flood of players leaving in the summer, six players are also leaving TSV Eching in the winter break.

The difference to the previous change period is that there are no key players among them.

"Basically, every exit hurts - regardless of whether young or old," says coach Alexander Günther.

In the thinly manned attack, the losses weigh twice as heavily.

The two strikers Alexander Beer (35) and Marcel Gessler (24) returned to their former clubs.

Beer moved to VfR Garching to end his career there in the second team.

"Alex is going into what might be his last second half of the season and would like to play with his buddies again.

Of course we don't put any obstacles in his way," says Fabian Goldstein, the head of the Zebras department.

Both forwards remained goalless in the first half of the season

Gessler will again be hunting for goals for FC Rot-Weiß Oberföhring.

There he snapped before moving to Eching in the summer of 2018. Gessler initially impressed for the Zebras with eight goals in his debut season.

After that he only managed one goal in 25 appearances.

For professional reasons, he was not always able to train, which was noticeable on the pitch.

In the current round he remained goalless - as did Beer.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

There are also two departures in midfield: Fahri Kavraz (23) is now playing for FC Türk Sport Garching.

He is also moving back to the club he came from before the season.

In Eching he made six appearances in the first half of the season and was never on the pitch for more than one half.

Philippe Göbel (19), who joined the Zebras from FC Ismaning's U19s in the summer, was in the starting XI for each of his six games.

Now he kicks for the district league competitor FC Schwabing.

Günther would have liked to continue working with the midfielders.

"It's a shame because they are young and capable of developing," says the coach.

Two young goalkeepers change clubs

Günther understands that goalkeepers Vincent Spangenberg (20) and Robin Schmid (20) are looking for match practice.

Both were not used this season.

It is questionable whether Schmid will get more games at the state league club Schwaig.

Spangenberg can calculate chances at SV Lohhof.

The club would have liked to keep him: "Vincent is a great talent and a good guy, so his departure is a shame," explains Günther.

The search for reinforcements in Eching is ongoing.

"We are in talks," says division head Goldstein.

With the new co-player coach Stefan Karl, the zebras were able to guide an experienced player to Eching.

Is that enough to stay up?

If the established players such as Florian Höltl, Jan Strehlow or Christian Niederstrasser get through the rest of the season without injury, they could make the leap from the bottom of the table to one of the two relegation places in the district league.
