Utah has struggled without six of its top nine players due to injuries - Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gober, Bojan Bogdanovich, Joe Ingles, Mike Conley and Royce O'Neill - and has recorded an 8-loss loss in the last 11 games.
The Jazz trailed by 13 points in the first half but managed to get a 91:95 lead in the fourth quarter.
Phoenix answered with a 2:14 run and secured the win.
Jordan Clarkson led Utah with 22 points, including 3 straight threes in the final quarter, which kept the game open in the closing minutes.

Nikola Wojciech finished with 26 points and 15 rebounds and Chicago stayed with the win despite a comeback from Oklahoma City in the final quarter.
The Bulls were already leading by 28 points in the third quarter, but the Thunder came up with an opportunity to equalize in the closing minutes.
Shay Gilges Alexander (31 points and 10 assists) missed a three that could have sent the game into overtime with 2.3 seconds left to play.
