Four games were played tonight in the NBA when the focus was on Phoenix's victory over the injured and missing Utah.

Chicago and Cleveland scraped wins over Oklahoma City and the Knicks, Indiana lost again.

The battle between two of the strongest teams in the league ended in a pretty predictable victory for the runner-up, given the fact that the Jazz settled into this game without key players like Rudy Gover, Donovan Mitchell, Bojan Bogdanovich 'And Mike Conley. After the dramatic away loss to Golden State, Utah once again gave Fayette the team with the best balance in the league, but succumbed to 33 points from Devin Booker and a play from Chris Paul who recorded a season-high 27 points, 15 of them in the fourth quarter that the Suns opened behind. Paul has also added 14 assists and 9 rebounds and is continuing his marvelous season, perhaps en route to the first championship of his long career. Jordan Clarkson tried to cover the missing with 22 points for the Jazz, including 3 straight threes in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough.

After two frustrating losses, Chicago came back to win and that too was very difficult.

Randall’s basket completed a comeback and set up a 91-point tie, but Garland’s excellent three-pointer and Barth’s penalty points ensured victory for the hosts, who won just 22 games all of last season and this season are making their way to the top of the East.

The comeback Kevin Love contributed 20 points, 11 rebounds and six threes in just 24 minutes off the bench, Garland handed out 12 assists and Mobley added 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Dawn Washington contributed 21 points from the bench to Indiana, which also received 19 points and 8 assists from Chris Lewart, but has failed to avoid a sixth loss in the last eight games.
