Farewell to Maor Buzaglo hanging the shoes

Beautiful, talented, delicate, exciting, and at times also a breathtaking actor.

A huge talent with a rare ability to engineer kicks, who could and should engineer his career a little better.

Hapoel Beer Sheva's journey in the Europa League, 2016/17 season (Sport1)

There is something alienated, emotionless, in the announcement of retirement six days in advance, but the whole Maor Bouzaglo retirement process has been stretched for several years, close to, and perhaps subject to, his participation in "Bouzaglo."

And there's something sad about that, even more than that an excellent actor retires at 34, not because he's really injured, but because his main livelihood is as a reality star.

It's sad that real football players will play after retirement in the neighborhood as well, because they love the game, and when a huge football player like Buzaglo - more or less healthy - retires at that age, something in the heart is pinched.

Perhaps we have witnessed here an invention, and less a discovery.

In the last decade, there have been three football stars: Eran Zehavi, Maor Buzaglo and Eran Levy.

The difference between a football star and just an excellent player is what is wrapped around you.

You are revered as a tic tac star, as a cultural icon.

You collect followers on Instagram, you document and document as if it were a "Truman show," you conduct not only for yourself but for your fans.

In this matter Buzaglo was the closest thing to Eli Ohana in admiration, and he did not even remain single until the age of 28. As is customary and timed with the Buzaglo, a football player has to get married early to be concentrated in the game itself, the woman will be a help against him.

And Buzaglo walked in this world - next to Father Jacob - like real candy.

Beautiful, talented, delicate, exciting, and at times also a breathtaking actor.

And despite everything, he will not be remembered as the greatest player of the period, and is not even sure he will have a place in the 11th, just like in the national team.

Because even though he played for all the top 5, and was a bit abroad, and at the Lyon academy alongside Benzema and Ben Arpa, and despite 73 goals and 90 assists in the league and two clutch goals at San Siro and St. Mary in the biggest home stage of an Israeli team ever, always There will be a sour feeling that Maor Bouzaglo has also managed his father's striped career here.

And he, too, was a little guilty of it, because he allowed it.

We saw him clearly to know he was a talent on;

We were sorry when Guy Levy left him at home when he took a collection of young talents, from all the yearbooks for the European Championships for young teams in the Netherlands;

We got an appetite from his tour of Sakhnin;

We believed that Hapoel Beer Sheva was the home he did not have in football, but he did not need the background noises that his father - and make no mistake, Boozie acted only out of love - made around him.

Buzaglo was good and talented enough to channel his career, and I feel he would have made it no less beautiful, but much less sour.

In October 2007, four months after that striped championship, the young team in Ramat Gan (in front of 10,000 people!) Hosted the young German team in the Euro 2009 qualifiers. Cross, the base of the team that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Israel led twice and eventually succumbed to an unjustified equalizer. Maor Bouzaglo's goal for Manuel Neuer's net was shot in motion. He ran with the ball and while running fired a ball that went up and down exactly to the corner of the goal, and the young Neuer had no chance to stop it.

Buzaglo's ability to engineer kicks will forever be remembered as one of the best in the history of Israeli football, as will his ability to place the ball where he wanted. And how unfortunate that his career was not ultimately more successful than that of, for example, Aliniv Barda, who was less talented than him, but will be remembered more as the one who turned Hapoel Beer Sheva from a senior team into a big club.

The day will come and the question will be asked how Hapoel Tel Aviv became a cemetery for fine players, how they got into it in a storm and came out of it so injured that they were unable to lift themselves to a fitting career end.

And it is possible that Buzaglo was also to blame for the fact that the financial struggle and the monetary return from life around the corner overwhelmed his desire to play again, if only for the sake of the game.

To the observer, Maor Bouzaglo's career was like a particularly tasty lollipop, which, after sucking it beyond recognition, turned into chewing gum.

His final chord, more or less, was his pair of goals for Atletico Madrid in the showcase match that took place at Teddy Stadium.

Between the first and second goal, equalize one, Antoine Griezmann.

How symbolic that the Israeli Grizzo parted in that prestigious game from Israeli football in the way that characterized him: as a football star.
