Top result and defeat for Seeshaupt, a setback for Eberfing

Things did not go well for the higher-class bowling teams from the Weilheim region.

Both the Seeshaupt women and the Eberfinger men lost.

However, there were also highlights in the games - Ramona Resch managed one.

2nd Bundesliga, women:

It is a step into new spheres that Ramona Resch has succeeded in doing.

With her 602 wood, the 21-year-old from Paterzell has passed a mark that is still something special in the "Zugspitze" cone circle.

Every sports bowler would like to have a six-hundred result in his list.

Resch achieved her personal best in her club's second division competition, FC Seeshaupt, at DKC Waldkirch.

She clearly surpassed her previous record (578).

However, there was no happy ending for the team – the Seeshaupt girls had to admit defeat overall with a score of 2.5:5.5.

The total number of wood played was decisive: Waldkirch (3333:3214) had much more to offer in this ranking.

The competition in the Heinz-Rösch-Kegelhalle in Freiburg was held on six lanes.

That means it was played in two rounds by three bowlers each.

Ramona Resch went onto the track in the first round.

The Paterzellerin shone especially in clearing, with 231 wood (63/63/42/63) she achieved an absolute top result.

In addition to the team point, she took 68 wood from her direct competitor, Alexandra Kempf (534).

Petra Kräh and Nadine Wieser were also in action for Seeshaupt with Resch. At the end, Kräh (533 wood/2:2 sets) shared the team point with the wood-same opponent, Andrea Martin. The FC player was under pressure in the fourth set with a score of 1:2 and a deficit of eleven wood. With a 140:129 she averted a defeat. Wieser (546/2:2) was a bit unlucky after a 2-0 set lead, in the end she was twelve wood short of winning the team point. At halftime the Seeshaupterinnen had a lead of 1.5:1.5 by 57 wood. "The game was therefore still open in all directions," said a statement.

In the second round, however, only Manuela Seitz (554/3:1) was successful on the FC side.

She took 38 wood from her opponent.

However, that was not nearly enough, as Nicola Dreer (454/0:4) and Petra Heinfling (525/0:4) together lost more than 200 wood.

The Waldkirch women Lina Lang (584) and Katja Francz (609) played well and gave their team their fourth win of the season in seven games.

Francz trumped in her performance, especially in the full: In this discipline she came up with 397 wood (107/93/95/102).

Unlike Resch, the 51-year-old didn't play a personal best - her record is 636 wood.

The Seeshaupters have their next game on February 6th.

Then it's home against Gaisbach.

Landesliga, men:

Andreas Gattinger is one of those people who definitely know how to classify the results – and in no way sugarcoat them.

The analysis of the away performance against SG Steppach/Deuringen promptly turned out to be unflattering.

"Not good", "too little overall" and "weak" were formulations that Gattinger chose after the 2:6 defeat of the Eberfinger Sportkegler in the penultimate division of the Landesliga Süd.

The SG presented itself as "surprisingly strong".

But the Gut-Holz player didn't want to use that as an excuse.

With 3237 wood, the guests clearly lagged behind the team from the Neusäß district, which had come up with 3332 wood.

A strong final sprint did not help the Eberfingern either, in which Alois Kriesmair (549 wood/3:1 sets) and Markus Lindner (584/2:2) each scored a team point and took a total of 51 wood from their opponents.

Because the deficit from the start and middle pairings was already too big.

Lindner's best performance of the day showed "that something would have worked," said Gattinger, clearly frustrated.

Such duels with teams from back regions "are games that you should win".

In the table, the Eberfinger in third place (10:8 points) lost touch with the top teams Alle Neune Thal (16:2) and SKC Unterthingau (14:4) for the time being.

The game in Steppach started unfavorably for the Eberfinger.

Hubert Resch (526/1:3) and Tobias Zahler (517/1:3) didn't get going.

They lost their direct duels and lost a total of 89 wood.

The guests also went away empty-handed in the middle pair.

Gattinger (540/1:3) clearly lost against the best SG player that day, Christian Saule (582).
