Sascha Mölders leaves TSV 1860 Munich after disagreements.

Now the striker has publicly commented on his separation from the lions for the first time.

And the alleged elevator prank.

Munich – This separation caused a stir in the 3rd division: Sascha Mölders and TSV 1860 Munich have recently stopped working together.

After disagreements, the former striker from the Bundesliga * had to leave the lions, instead he was hired by SG Sonnenhof Großaspach in the Regionalliga Südwest.

The footballers from the north of Stuttgart are mainly supported by the influential ex-player consultant Ulrich Ferber (formerly Mario Gomez and Joshua Kimmich*).

But: How did Mölders end up on Giesing's heights?

And what does the 36-year-old attacker say about the allegations that ex-top dogs of TSV 1860 Munich had added the then junior player Leon Klassen with an elevator prank?

For the first time, Mölders spoke publicly in an interview about this and about the end of the collaboration with "Munich's great love", as the Giesingers call themselves.

Mölders contradicted the version of the Sechzger that in the end he no longer met the footballing expectations.

When I was a young player, there were even worse things.

Sascha Mölders on the alleged elevator prank

"It was as I wrote it.

It's no secret that I've been told that I won't be in the squad for the next two games.

And I should train individually, as I wrote it at the time.

There was nothing bad about it.

And that's the way it should be.

I am and I was in top shape, so that was surprising for me," explained Mölders in a live video interview with

Magenta Sport

: "Then one thing led to another.

But as I said before: I've been with the Munich Lions for six years now, and I've had six wonderful years."

The native of Essen went on to say that he was relegated to the regional league in 2017, “we drove through the villages.

I've witnessed almost everything.

For me, I only look back on the wonderful times of Sixty Munich.

I have opened a new chapter.

Everything is fine for me now.

I like the club," he said, adding: "I was there for six years, I wish the club the best.

I watch all the games, including the cup game against Karlsruhe (0:1 from TSV 1860's point of view, ed.) I was rooting for at home.

Now it is the way it is.

Everything comes to an end at some point.

You have to look ahead.”

In the live broadcast, Mölders, who had agreed with the lions to terminate his contract, which lasted until summer, was asked if he would have preferred a different end in Giesing.

“As I said, I was there for six years.

I was also team captain of Sixty Munich.

That's all known.

It was clear to me that summer would probably be the end of it.

I'll also be 37 in March. It would have been nicer if it had ended in the summer," explained the striker: "But sometimes there are situations that you can't choose.

That's how it happened.

Of course it came as a surprise to me, and of course I was shocked.

I wrote that too.

I have a wonderful family at home who have supported me.”

But that's not all: Mölders was confronted with the accusation rumored around Grünwalder Strasse that he and fellow players had played an elevator prank on the then junior soccer player Leon Klassen (21 years old, Spartak Moscow).

Just recently, Mölders' ex-colleague at TSV 1860, Aaron Berzel (today SC Verl), had an interview with the

Munich Merkur

and the

tz

commented on this.

"We surprised him in his sleep, tied him up and let him go up and down twice in the elevator.

He wasn't tortured, and it wasn't like he was lying there helpless and screaming for help out of fear of death," said Berzel: "It bothers Leon himself how it was portrayed - he contacted us and was outraged that he now comes across as the little sensitive one who can't defend himself."

And what does Mölders think about the action described?

He did not deny the alleged elevator prank, instead saying: "Mei, when I was a young player, there were even more blatant things.

You shouldn't take all that seriously.

There are always jokes in football.

But there are limits somewhere, and we have never crossed them.

They were never exceeded, even when I was young.

And it was really hard at the limit.

But now, in this day and age, everything is quite harmless.”

Whether Klassen also sees it that way is not reported by the Russian junior international.

“Leon Klassen is a super boy.

He's making his way, too," Mölders continued in the video interview with

Magenta Sport

: "When it came out, it bothered him the most because it's just annoying.

I don't even know where that came from.

It's just annoying.”
