Just before the Australian Open tennis championship reaches its final line-up, the picture of the semi-finals was completed today (Wednesday).
American Daniel Collins managed to replicate the achievement from 2019 with the ticket to the last four, after stopping Eliza Corna with a 5: 7, 1: 6 victory in an hour and a half, while achieving an impressive 90 percent success rate in winning her first serve.
The big winner said at the end: "It feels amazing. Especially after some health challenges I went through until I was able to get back to that level and compete like before. Playing against really good competitors, great athletes being able to compete with these women is an honor."
In the next game, look forward to Collins, Iga of the world-ranked Polish biotech Poland, who admittedly lost its first set against Estonian Kia Kanfi, but eventually defeated it 6-4, 6-7 (2), 3-6.
