This is a very perilous exercise: establishing a ranking of the “best” and “worst” stadiums in Europe.
Despite a multitude of biases - subjectivity of tastes in terms of architecture, food or atmosphere, risk of malicious bad marks from opposing supporters - which invite to take these results with a grain of salt, the comparison site Money.co .uk lent itself to the game by ranking the “best” (“best”) & “worst” (“worst”) football venues on the Old Continent.
To establish this ranking, the British site compiled the ratings given by spectators on Trip Advisor, Google and Football Map Ground.
Created in 2007 by Rob Clarkson, a supporter of Sheffield United, Football Map Ground is a specialized site which lists 26,737 stadiums around the world and claims more than 157,000 users.
