American Madison Keys qualified for the semi-finals of the Australian Open after defeating Czech Barbora Krichkova.
It took Keys an hour and 22 minutes to decide the outcome of the match in her favour, and beat the fourth candidate for the title in two sets without a response, 6-3, 6-2.
In order to reach the final of the first of the four Grand Slam tournaments, she will face the world's number one, Australian Ashleigh Barty, who in turn defeated American Jessica Pegula.
