Bitter news for all sports fans: The DAZN subscription will be really expensive in the future!

The streaming service has now announced this.

Update from January 25, 12:09 p.m .:

The sports streaming service DAZN will increase the prices from February – and quite significantly!

It should therefore come as little surprise that the reactions of the subscribers turned out accordingly.

Many fans even threaten to be fired!

"Wait wait.

I could still understand the increase to 14.99, but from 1.8 then 29.99?

Are you actually crazy?”, a user writes on Twitter: “Does that mean, if you want a complete BuLi, you end up paying 60 bucks a month?

You're crazy so slow!"

Another user calls the price increase "completely exaggerated" and expects "more sports rights, especially UHD (at least full FHD) and extensive all-round reporting" from DAZN for the money.

Another user meanwhile sees it quite relaxed: "It's completely normal.

They probably also want to make money at some point," he writes: "It was no different with Netflix etc.

The days of lure offers are over.”

A Bundesliga club also reacted to DAZN's price hammer on Twitter - and in a pretty casual way!

"Exchange a sweater for a subscription," wrote 1. FSV Mainz under the streaming service's tweet and posted a black DAZN hoodie.

First report from January 25th:

Munich – Life is becoming more and more expensive – also for sports fans!

If you want to subscribe to DAZN from February 1st, you have to dig really deep into your pocket.

In the future, the "Netflix des Sports" will no longer charge 14.99 euros per month for the subscription - but a whopping 29.99 euros!

However, this only applies to new customers and subscribers who had paused their membership and reactivated it again.

DAZN is thus adjusting its prices to the new sports offer.

DAZN: price hammer for subscription customers!

Sports fans will soon have to dig deep into their pockets

In a statement from the streaming portal, it is said that the "several range since the beginning of the season has been greatly expanded" and that it is positioned "with a reasonable price in the market structure".

Despite the massive price increase, the subscription can be canceled on a monthly basis.

In addition, the annual subscription is slightly cheaper and can also be paid monthly.

So the sports fan pays 24.99 euros for it.

An annual subscription, which is paid for in advance, is the cheapest.

For 274.99 euros you can purchase the entire DAZN offer with Bundesliga*, Champions League*, Primera Division, Serie A and much more.

The price hammer does not yet apply to the existing subscriptions!

Anyone who has DAZN for the old subscriptions, i.e. for 14.99 euros a month, will also pay for this until July 31, 2022. The price also remains the same for sports fans who take out a DAZN subscription by January 31 until the summer.
