Knesset Member Ofir Katz, from the Likud, this morning (Wednesday) submitted a request for an urgent discussion in the Knesset regarding the situation and future of Betar Jerusalem, which is currently on the verge of economic collapse.
Katz noted that the difficult economic situation of the Jerusalemites endangers the future of the club, the youth departments and the payment of salaries to players and employees.
The request further states that: "The question arises as to how in 2022, despite the supervisory mechanisms, a group will reach such a situation."
MK Ofir Katz said: "As a Betar fan, even in the most difficult times, I can not stand aside and see this important club fall apart before our eyes. One of the biggest clubs in the country, followed for many years by masses of fans from Metula to Eilat. It is urgent in the Knesset Sports Committee so that we can try and prevent the team from collapsing. "

Meanwhile, MK Itamar Ben Gvir joined the mobilization of the masses in favor of Betar Jerusalem and wrote on Facebook: "It is no secret that I am a Betar fan.

Meanwhile, Beit Vagan has already prepared unilateral dismissal letters for four foreign players - Marco Jankovic, Kamasso Mara, Joshua Mahias and Edwin Gassi.
The letters have not yet been delivered to players out of faith in developments against the group of buyers from the US, but if there are no developments on their part, the move may happen today.
