Süle leaves Bayern in the summer

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn confirmed the free transfer of national player Niklas Süle in the summer.

“Negotiations have dragged on for a very long time.

We made him an offer.

He didn't accept that.

He will leave the club at the end of the season," Kahn said in a media round on Wednesday.

The central defender was made a “very good offer.

But we have to comply with certain economic limits, "said the Bayern boss.

Süle switched from Hoffenheim to Bayern in 2017.

His contract expires in the summer.

Kahn did not want to talk about possible successor candidates, but the two Chelsea defenders Anders Christensen and Antonio Rüdiger, whose contracts also expire at the end of June, are being traded.

Chabot comes to 1. FC Köln on loan

Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln have signed central defender Jeffrey Chabot.

The 23-year-old defender from Sampdoria Genoa will initially move to the Rhine on loan until June 30, 2023.

The 1.95 meter tall defensive specialist trained with his new team on Wednesday and could make his first appearance in the friendly against FC Schalke 04 on Thursday.

The former German youth international is set to stabilize the FC defense following the departures of Jorge Meré and Rafael Czichos.

"Jeff is a robust central defender who, at 23, already has some experience abroad," said Jörg Jakobs, FC's sporting director.

Chabot was trained at Eintracht Frankfurt and most recently played in Serie A at Spezia Calcio and in Genoa.

He made 44 appearances in Serie A.

Martial from Manchester to Seville

Frenchman Anthony Martial will play for Spanish first division side FC Sevilla until the end of the season.

The Andalusians agreed with the English record champions Manchester United, coached by Ralf Rangnick, on a loan deal for the coming months, as the club announced.

The 26-year-old Martial has hardly been used under Rangnick recently.

The offensive player moved to Manchester in 2015.
