Yuval Sussman after the difficult and charged evening: "When I landed in Israel I was on the verge of tears"
A player from Alba Berlin, who scored 10 points in the loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv, summed up his exciting evening at Yad Eliyahu, including the mixed reception of the crowd: "Trying to think with the mind and not with the heart. And one experience, I enjoyed every moment, complete with my decision."

Summary: Shlonsk and Wroclaw - LeBloa-Metropolitans 74:59 (Sport1)
Last night (Tuesday), Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Alba Berlin 78:87 in a rematch from the 20th round of the Euroleague.
At the center of the confrontation was Yuval Sussman, the Yellows' home player, who returned for the first time next to Eliyahu with his new team, together with his friend Tamir Blatt.
Sussman finished the game with 10 points and 3 assists in 27 minutes.
Before the game, when he entered the floor, a significant part of Maccabi Tel Aviv fans began to whistle contempt for Sussman, and during the ceremony held before the match, that part continued with whistles - while most of the crowd cheered for the home player.
However, every time Sussman touched the ball during the game, there were loud boos.
As is well known, Sussman was one of Yad Eliyahu's favorite home players, but in the previous round he demonstratively celebrated Alba's victory over the Yellows, including teasing on the Maccabi bench after a trash talk with Nanali.

What went through his mind? "A lot of things related to emotions, I try to think with the mind and not with the heart, I can try to understand the audience and what they think, but I have to do the best for the group. What is out of my control I avoid thinking about," Sussman said at the end of his emotional evening "I know the hall so well, I saw that they painted from the outside, that they painted the parquet a little, when you know the place so well, you do not forget it. I know Maccabi so well, it was one experience and I enjoyed every moment."
The Israeli added about his season so far in Germany: "It's not easy, I learn a lot about myself, I have a lot of time alone, I have a foreign name, we have a monkey on our backs, like here with Maccabi, I try to learn from game to game and be better for "The group. I am whole with my decision, I develop and learn, that is what shapes our lives, our decisions."
Zus spoke about the relationship with Tamir Blatt: "We talk about everything from everything, while playing, we know each other very well, and also outside the game. Tamir has the experience to play against Maccabi, he defeated Maccabi several times and also lost. He knows what "We have to do and what to do less. We want to beat every team, and especially against the team you play against, it gives a push. Last time it was enough, we did the best we could."

Finally when asked about the difficulty of leaving the country now he said excitedly: "I had a very hard time landing here, I was moved to tears, to see the parents, to come to the country, I was not here for almost six months, my longest time ever. I can understand the foreign players "When you do not have the push of family, of friends of your home, of belonging a little bit. I need to be with my family now and appreciate every moment I have left here."
