Millions of people around the world watch the Super Bowl on TV.

The advertising spaces are correspondingly popular – American brands pay unbelievable sums.

Los Angeles – In the night of February 14th, the time has come: at 00:30 the Super Bowl will start THE sports spectacle of the year.

It is still unclear which teams are fighting for the legendary “Vince Lombardi Trophy”.

Certainly against it: The supporting program around the Super Bowl is also an absolute highlight every year.

In addition to the legendary half-time show, this also includes the commercials, which the fans are eagerly awaiting, as always.

The costs for the coveted advertising space are hard to believe.

Super Bowl: New record for 30 seconds of advertising time

Last year, the Super Bowl was still on the US broadcaster CBS.

A 30-second commercial there already costs around 5.6 million US dollars.

However, big names like Coca-Cola, Pepsi or Budweiser decided not to advertise at the Super Bowl in 2021.

The reason for this: the corona pandemic.

This year, it broadcasts the big game and sets a new record at the same time.

As the

New York Post

reports, half a minute will cost almost a million dollars more.

The companies have to shell out 6.5 million this year.

Super Bowl: These are the best spots this year

Despite the gigantic prizes, fans can look forward to particularly original clips again this year.

In addition to funny sayings and strong messages, the companies also rely on concentrated star power.

While some brands release commercials ahead of time, others keep the excitement high with teaser-sized snippets.

A funny spot starring Mila Kunis and Demi Moore – actor Ashton Kutcher's (ex)wives – is already causing a stir.

They play competitors at a high school class reunion for the AT&T Fiber telecommunications group.

Other prominent faces this year include Idris Elba and Seth Rogen.

The half-time show this year also promises to be a real highlight.

The rappers Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Dr.

Dre and Kendrick Lamar.

For a long time, however, it was unclear who would sing the national anthem.
