The Reds have joined the Montenegrin midfielder, who only last week was forced to leave Betar Jerusalem • is expected to be the only reinforcement of the team in the current transfer window

A few days after receiving a dismissal notice from Betar Jerusalem, the Montenegrin midfielder, Marko Jankovic, signed tonight (Tuesday) with Hapoel Tel Aviv, on a contract for a season and a half.

Montenegro national team contact started his playing career in several teams in Serbia.

In the 2015/2016 season he moved to play in the Slovenian Maribor - and from there he moved to Partizan Belgrade, where he played over 50 league games in which he scored 9 goals.

In the 2018/2019 season he moved to Italy where he played for Spal.

In January 2021, he signed with Betar Jerusalem, where he played until the current transfer window. This season, he played 11 league games in which he scored a goal and scored one more.

Hapoel recently released a number of players such as Lucio and George Diva, a move that gave them a budget place to add a new player, and after failing to find a foreign winger, the professional team decided to add Yankovic.

Hapoel Tel Aviv received messages about Yankovich's problematic behavior during his time at Betar Jerusalem, but despite this they did not shy away, and as mentioned, they signed the player, who will be the only reinforcement for the Reds in the current transfer window.
