Türkgücü Munich fights for a point win at VfL Osnabrück in the last minute.
Above all, morale is convincing in Munich after the difficult week.
Munich
– A look at the bench after Albion Vrenezi's equalizer was enough to be sure: Türkgücü Munich has not yet given up.
Andreas Heraf's team convinced with a strong fighting performance against VfL Osnabrück.
Even if not much should succeed offensively, Türkgücü ultimately earned the point with the promotion candidate.
Before Simakala scored the opening goal, Munich even had the opportunity to take the lead themselves twice through Mickels and Irving.
But even after another blow to the neck, the team didn't give up and came back again.
Türkgücü Munich: The team has not yet given up
“We are a team and stick together.
Vollath, Tosun, Kusic and Maier, who stayed at home, also scored points.
We will continue to fight together," explained captain Alex Sorge after the game at Magenta.
The quartet had been dropped from the squad for Heraf's away game.
For the future, the Türkgücü captain wishes from those responsible: "The club now has two months to rehabilitate the club.
We continue to give our all on the pitch and want to stay up in the league in sporting terms.
The situation is clear: either the club will succeed in winning new or old sponsors and it will continue here, or things will look very bleak.”
Head coach Andreas Heraf assessed the situation after the game in a similar way. “The point was brutally important for morale. We were lucky enough, but we could have won here too. I hope that the point will give us a boost for the coming weeks," said the Austrian after the game. He also defended the elimination of Tosun & Co... "The players who played today didn't disappoint me. However, all four players can be back in the squad on Tuesday.” The 54-year-old vehemently rejected a physical altercation between Tosun and assistant coach Goran Djuricin even before the game. Heraf has a simple plan for the next few weeks and Türkgücü's future. “The situation is pretty clear. We have to get points to avoid relegation and to convince an investor about us.”
