WWK Volleys Herrsching remain perfect: After the win against SVG Lüneburg, the view moves upwards

WWK Volleys Herrsching celebrate their third win in the third game of the second round of the Bundesliga.

The weakened SVG Lüneburg cannot keep up in the Audi Dome.

Herrsching – This is exactly how Max Hauser imagined the third game in the intermediate round.

The coach of WWK Volleys Herrsching was able to admire his team's confident 3-0 victory (25:22, 25:19, 25:22) against SVG Lüneburg, which did not have a top line-up, in the Audi Dome in Munich late on Friday evening.

Among others, the guests were missing the injured star winger Jordan Ewert.

3:2, 3:1 and now 3:0 - the trend of the volleyball Bundesliga team from Ammersee in the intermediate round is correct.

After the first legs, the WWK Volleys are second in their group - which corresponds to sixth place for the play-offs.

And Lüneburg is only three points away.

The first round in the north-south duel was very open for a long time, swinging back and forth in a classic way.

Towards the end of the sentence, the WWK Volleys actually worked out a comfortable three-point lead, but let the Lower Saxony equalize again (21:21).

After Hauser's break, his team recovered.

Ultimately, it was a double touch on the part of the guests after a successful Herrschinger block that ended the first set.

In round number two, almost everything worked out for the hosts.

After 24 minutes and good blocks and attacks, it was a Lüneburg serve error that gave WWK Volleys a 2-0 lead.

In particular, outside attacker Jordi Ramon Ferragut, who had been absent from Herrsching for a long time with an injury, was in top form – in attack and defense – and was consequently voted the most important player, the Gold MVP, after the game.

In the third set, the opponents acted at eye level, only at the end did the pendulum swing in favor of the hosts.

With a service winner, the setter Luke Herr sealed the victory – and coach Hauser started a humba in the group of players.

It didn't bother that only around 300 fans got lost in the Audi Dome, although Herrsching's new signing Philipp Schumann remarked after the game: "I hope there will be a few more spectators next game, then things really get going."

WWK Volleys Herrsching: GCDW also "Best Club of the Year"?

In 2022, the WWK Volleys Herrsching will remain perfect.

A 3-1 win against Haching at the end of the main round, plus the three victories in the first legs of the intermediate round: The self-proclaimed hottest club in the world (GCDW) has so far been able to call itself the “hottest club of the year”.

The Herrschinger are the volleyball team of the hour.

After a difficult few months, the surge in form seems to have come at just the right time.

Should they be able to maintain this form into the playoffs, the WWK Volleys must be counted on for more than just an extra role.
