Eran Levy, a Maccabi Kabilio Jaffa player, is suffering from a tear in his meniscus and will have to undergo surgery during the coming week.
As mentioned, Levy was injured last week in the first quarterfinal game against Maccabi Tel Aviv (2: 0) and this morning (Sunday) after receiving the results of the MRI examination, the 36-year-old midfielder realized that he would have to be absent from the pitches for at least the next month and a half.
The team said: "Dear fans, as you know, Eran Levy was injured during the quarterfinals of the State Cup against Maccabi Tel Aviv. After a series of tests and a photo, it became clear that the player is suffering from a tear in the meniscus.
"Eran will undergo surgery during the coming week and the expected recovery time until returning to the grass is 4-6 weeks. The Maccabi Kabilio Jaffa family wishes Eran a speedy recovery and a quick return to the pitches!"
