Kira Weidle is the Olympic hope of the German downhill skiers.
But before a race started, she had already lost her way.
Beijing - The city of Beijing is the focus of the Olympic Games.
Yes, the city is so big, there are even three Olympic Villages there.
Stupid only if you go to the wrong village.
This is what happened with Kira Weidle, the German downhill and Super-G hope.
The journey is long, so a small faux pas can happen at the beginning.
And as long as the German skier doesn't go or have to go to the Corona Hotel - like her colleague Eric Frenzel - everything will be fine.
The journey to the Chinese metropolis is an odyssey in terms of its length, but Kira Weidle did not want to make a detour within the city.
The winter athlete arrived later than she wanted at the Olympics, but that was not due to the flight, but to a wrong decision, which she documented in detail with photos and videos.
Olympics 2022 too complicated?

Olympia 2022: First happy ending for Kira Weidle – she arrived in her room
At least she found her way back to her village and her room on the same day.
The skier took it all with humor.
Hopefully all tests will remain negative and nothing will stand in the way of your possible hope of a medal.

On February 11th (Super G) and on February 15th (Downhill) are the important rides for Weidle.
With these, she is not dependent on the bus, but on her skis and her skills.
Hopefully - from a German point of view - she steers onto the podium and not back into the wrong region.
Chinese officials caused a scandal when Dutch television went live.
In the mixed relay on Saturday, February 5th, a few things went wrong at the beginning, but in the end a fifth place in the biathlon remained.
