The 2nd Bundesliga offered great entertainment on Sunday afternoon: last-minute victory in Kiel, history in the east derby, smack for leaders Darmstadt - including a goal record by HSV striker Robert Glatzel.

Hamburger SV won 5-0 (3-0) against the leaders from Darmstadt.

The reason for this was, among other things, a lightning hat-trick by Robert Glatzel, who equaled Nils Petersen's previous second division record with three goals in eight minutes.

In the east derby between Hansa Rostock and Dynamo Dresden, the Rostockers won for the first time in almost 39 years against their competitor from the Elbe - with a clear 4:1 win.

Fortuna Düsseldorf found themselves in 15th place in the table after a last-minute defeat against Holstein Kiel (0:1).

Robert Glatzel and Hamburger SV have suffered a bitter defeat in the promotion race of the 2nd Bundesliga table leaders SV Darmstadt 98. The lilies lost in the top game on Sunday after a completely sleepy start with 0:5 (0:3). The 28-year-old attacker Glatzel managed a lightning hat-trick in front of 1000 spectators - he scored in the 5th, 10th and 13th minute and also scored the final point in the 89th minute. Manuel Wintzheimer (76th minute) scored HSV's fourth goal.

With that, Glatzel scored the fastest hat trick in the 2nd division: Nils Petersen had also done the same up to the 13th minute in 2015 for SC Freiburg and Hans Haunstein in the 1976/1977 season for 1860 Munich.

Despite the bitter bankruptcy, Darmstadt remains first in the table - but the tension in the fight for promotion does not break: The table leaders Darmstadt and sixth from Heidenheim are currently only separated by two points.

FC Hansa Rostock has ended an almost 39-year winning streak at Dynamo Dresden and, with a goal gala, ousted their eastern rivals from twelfth place in the 2nd Bundesliga.

On Sunday, the Rostockers came to a 4-1 (4-0) win at the memorial match day for the late GDR football legend Hans-Jürgen "Dixie" Dörner.

In front of 10,000 spectators, John Verhoek (6th/18th) and Nils Fröling (10th/13th) each made the decision with a brace in the first 20 minutes.

Julius Kade (63rd) scored the consolation goal.

Dynamo had to do without first-choice goalkeeper Kevin Broll because of a hand injury.

The team didn't play at all in the first half, while Hansa punished every small mistake by the Saxons with an almost 100 percent chance conversion.

After the break, Hansa switched to counterattacks.

Dynamo made an effort, hit the crossbar through Sebastian Mai (51st) and was rewarded with the consolation goal, which is well worth seeing.

Fortuna Düsseldorf is getting deeper and deeper into the relegation battle of the 2nd Bundesliga.

At Holstein Kiel, the Rhinelanders had to admit a very unfortunate 0-1 (0-0) defeat on Sunday after a last-minute goal by Jonas Stürner (90+3).

In continuous rain, Fortuna had more of the game in the Holstein Stadium and the better chances, but also failed to score in the fourth game in a row and is now level on points with SV Sandhausen in the relegation rank.

Holstein Kiel is now unbeaten five times in a row - despite a largely uninspired and unfocused game against Fortuna Düsseldorf.

The desolate zero number would have been the logical consequence, but then Sterner scored in injury time in the second half for the home win from the Storks' point of view.
