Bizarre self-goal in Morocco (from Twitter)
While Morocco followed with concern the fate of 5-year-old Ryan whose attempts to rescue him made headlines around the world, the local football league provided a rare comedic break.
It happened in the bottom game in the first league between Rapida Awad Zem and Hassania Agadir.
In a 0: 1 situation for Hassania in 14th place, Rafida goalkeeper Mahdi Awaya arrived, a pass back which he had a hard time dealing with, to say the least, and his disqualification attempt turned in a hallucinatory kick into a marvelous kick to the connections of his own hair.
