The footballers at VfB Hallbergmoos are slowly developing a preference for late goals.
A newcomer scored twice in the 3-1 friendly win in Karlsfeld.
Hallbergmoos
– The third win in the third test match fitted the picture perfectly.
In the 3-1 (0-1) success at the soccer south-east regional league club TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld, Bayern league club VfB Hallbergmoos once again made it clear in the final phase of the game that the victory was ultimately deserved.
However, VfB coach Matthias Strohmaier saw two fundamentally different halves.
In the first round, the Bavarian league showed a weak game, made many bad passes and was consequently 1-0 behind.
The actually quite level-headed Strohmaier became clear in the half-time in many things that displeased him.
Dominik Pöhlmann had already destroyed hopes in the third minute of playing to zero for the first time in the third test.
Strohmaier: "That was the football I imagine."
After the break, the guests were actually transformed.
On the one hand there were a number of personnel changes, on the other hand a completely different train came into play.
"That was the football I imagine," said Strohmaier later.
VfB had the game under control and around ten good chances to score, with which they could have won the game even more.
Hallbergmoos attacked early, switched quickly and also showed the determination that was missing before the half-time break.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
Striker Alessandro Cazorla, who came in the winter, boosted his self-confidence with a brace (73'/80'), Simon Werner made it 3-1 (86').
For Strohmaier, the late hits were proof of the team's morale.
As against Unterföhring, VfB came back after falling behind.
Test match against Pipinsried
So the positive impressions outweigh the negative ones - but the team still has to improve defensively.
Again, the new coach doesn't worry too much though.
The home game against the regional league team FC Pipinsried (Wednesday, February 9, 7:30 p.m.) will be the ultimate endurance test for the defenders.
