Since the start of the Winter Olympics in Beijing, there have been quite a few claims about how strict the corona protocol is and interferes with the proper running of the Games, with many athletes in isolation, but just yesterday (Sunday) the organizers proved they can also be flexible.
Thali Gil, Australia's mixed doubles team player, who is collaborating with Dean Hewitt, has already thought that her Olympic dream has vanished, after being tested and came out positive and has already come to terms with the fact that she will not be playing in China again.
During the isolation, ongoing tests alternated between negative and positive results and after discussions with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), it was decided to allow the duo to return home to Australia.

But just before the duo boarded the plane, the Australian Olympic Committee received an email from the Chinese public health system announcing that the couple could continue to compete according to the protocols for close contacts, after the medical committee examined Gil's antibody values and determined they were within acceptable range.
The story, which can still set an important precedent, ended in the best way possible, after the duo hit the field again in the "ice cube", to achieve their first victory in the tournament against Switzerland.
