Skier Noa Solush made history tonight (Sunday to Monday), becoming the first Israeli to compete in the alpine skiing industry at the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, when she took part in the giant slalom competition and advanced to the second round.
The 19-year-old Solosh, a native of Hungary and the daughter of a Jewish father who trains in Austria, participated in the first round, when she achieved a result of 1: 04.90 minutes, which earned her 42nd place, out of 82 competitors, with 22 of them failing to finish the track. American Mikaela Shifrin, the Olympic champion who was the main candidate for gold.
Later in the day, Solush will also participate in the second round, with a combination of the two results, giving her the final ranking and out of which also came the first three places to win medals.

The giant slalom track in alpine skiing is a faster track than the slalom, where the competitor combines the technical ability and the preservation of speed, when the turns are less sharp and allows a greater speed of up to 80 km / h.
Solosh, represented Israel at the 2020 Winter Olympics for Youth in Lausanne, where she won a silver medal in the combined profession (AC) and a bronze medal in the Super G.
Her father, Peter, represented Israel in the early 1990s and was a pioneer in the industry in Israel, when he participated in world championships, but failed to achieve impressive results.
