Unusual incident during the Olympics broadcast: a cameraman suddenly became dizzy - of all things while he was on the air.

Zhangjiakou - Olympic Monday became a German holiday!

Denise Herrmann sensationally won the gold medal in the biathlon individual and made the German fans cheer in front of the television.

But shortly thereafter, the viewers had reason to worry: a live switch to biathlon reporter Alexander Ruda and expert Sven Fischer had to be canceled because the cameraman became unwell.

In the middle of the analysis, the image suddenly began to shake violently.

Ruda was the first to notice that something was wrong and asked: "Is everything okay here?

Are we still in the picture?” He then received information over the radio.

"I just heard that our cameraman is not feeling well."

Then ex-biathlete Fischer recognized the seriousness of the situation and intervened.

"Lie down, lie down!" The director switched to an image of the stadium and Ruda informed the viewers: "Our cameraman has health problems at the moment.

Maybe we'll go back to the studio for a bit while you guys are ready."

Presenter Kathrin Müller-Hohenstein and ex-biathlete Laura Dahlmeier sat there.

"Timo, it's best to sit down," Ruda said to the cameraman, who was obviously dizzy.

"Health comes first," said Müller-Hohenstein and wished the ZDF colleague all the best.

Olympia: cameraman collapses – viewers wish him a speedy recovery

It was initially unclear how the cameraman was doing.

Many viewers noticed the incident and exchanged views on Twitter.

"The most important question right now: How is cameraman Timo?" Asks a user.

Some others wish him a speedy recovery.

Another user notes that cameraman can be a tough job: “I always wonder why it doesn’t happen more often.

After five minutes I'm on the verge of collapse, even with a heavy camera.

Get well soon !”
