It's always fun to rediscover how good at heart can make athletes fans who need it most of all.
A few weeks ago we saw how just before announcing his retirement Tom Brady delighted a boy who had recovered from cancer with Super Bowl tickets, and this week it was NFL player Anthony Harris' turn to surprise a young fan.
Harris, a Philadelphia Eagles star, heard that 11-year-old Audrey Swap and a big fan of his had tragically lost her father and grandfather in the past year - and could not stand aside.
The football player came to an event at Audrey's school in Texas and filled her father's place in a traditional father and daughter dance.
"I just asked if he would come, if he would be willing to come," said Holly, the girl's mother, after the Eagles finished the season, "and he said, 'Not only will I come, I want to make her feel like a princess.'"

Audrey said she got the big news a week before the dance was supposed to take place and she was a little stressed lest she get confused while dancing with Anthony.
But, judging by the documentation of the event, it was a huge success, and Harris managed to make the night special for Audrey, while also making sure to pay for her dress, shoes and makeup.

"I'm just trying to act like a human being," Harris admitted.
"I try to take off my helmet and what I do professionally, and just show some sympathy for this family, give them some support. You have to cherish those moments. You never know how much time we have in this world. So, the people you care about. And you love - show them support. "
