The German ski heroine Maria Höfl-Riesch has fulfilled a childhood dream.
Her husband is attending but "hates it," according to his wife.
Orlando - The Olympic Games in Beijing 2022 are currently underway, where many athletes are making a dream come true.
Maria Höfl-Riesch fulfilled this herself. The Garmisch-Partenkirchen native won a total of three gold medals.
But the German winter sports icon has only now fulfilled a childhood dream - eight years after the end of his career.
And it has nothing to do with your favorite sport.
She thanked her husband, who probably didn't have the best time there.
Maria Höfl-Riesch: Childhood dream comes true at the age of 37
She is currently in the USA with her husband Marcus Höfl.
On their trip, they visited the city of Boston on the east coast of the country, and together they were guests at an NBA game played by the German Dennis Schröder.
The Boston Celtics played at home.
The couple saw the basketball superstar win.
Now it was on to Florida, where Maria was able to fulfill her dream.
The former skier was a guest at Disney World.
The 37-year-old writes on Instagram: "Even when I was little, I always wanted to come here!
Today that childhood dream has come true - Disney World.
Thank you Marcus Hoefl, I know you hate it."
Maria Höfl-Riesch: First Disney World then NBA game?
With the hashtags "Rollercoaster" and "Mickey Mouse" you can see what the German was looking forward to most in Orlando.
But her husband was not at a loss for an answer either.
He wrote under the picture: "Love is ... But I'm also looking forward to it if we go to basketball later." So a compromise.
First Disney World, then NBA.
Doesn't sound like such a bad routine.
From the "Magic Kingdom", as Höfl-Riesch described it, to the Orlando Magic.
The US trip of the two is now over.
From Miami we went back to Munich via a direct flight.
