Peißenberg and the referees: These are two things that don't go together at the moment.

Also in the home game against Kempten, the "Miners" felt decisively disadvantaged.

Peißenberg

– The weakness of the “Peißenberg Miners” in the majority game had already made itself felt in the Bayernliga main round.

Coach Christian Kratzmeir's men only scored 19 power play goals, while the best teams in this statistic scored over 30 goals.

ESC Kempten, who mercilessly demonstrated this strength during their guest appearance in Peißenberg, is also one of these “penalty punishers”.

Peißenberg conceded four goals against Kempten outnumbered

Four superiority hits by the Allgäu formed the basis for the fourth defeat of the "Miners" in the fourth game of the promotion round.

This was quite clear with 5: 9 (2: 2, 1: 3, 2: 4).

"If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work in the power play either," Kratzmeir commented on his own weakness in the majority.

His team had one more man on the ice almost as often as Kempten, but unlike the Allgäu team, they couldn't capitalize on that.

The referee observer said before the game that they were the best referees in the league.

Then I don't want to see the worst.

But that wasn't the only thing that bothered Kratzmeir.

As in the game two days earlier in Miesbach, the "Miners" struggled with the performance of the referees.

The team of referees in the home game against Kempten proved to be completely overwhelmed.

Massive problems with offside decisions and game interruptions, although the goalkeeper continued to play the disc, alternated with more than questionable penalties, culminating in a completely unjustified penalty.

"The referee observer said before the game that they were the best referees in the league.

Then I don't want to see the worst," said Kratzmeir, who jumped out of his skin several times during the game.

Peißenberg's coach took refuge in irony after the end of the game and he had trouble maintaining composure.

"I don't hold the referees responsible for the defeat," Kratzmeir clarified.

In the end, his young team had no chance against the calm and experienced Allgäu team.

Kempten mercilessly punished the first Peißenberger mistake

The problems of the Peissenbergers were already indicated in the initial phase.

Brandon Harrogate punished a simple loss of a goal by the home side in his own zone with the Kempten opener (2nd).

Afterwards, Dejan Vogl (5th) and Dominik Pawliczek (7th), each in a majority game, missed the chance to equalize.

The guests were more effective, and Lars Grözinger made it 2-0 for their team immediately after a penalty (8th).

The "Miners" fought back after this setback.

Youngster Denis Degenstein after a good attack (9th) and Vogl (14th), who deflected a long-range shot from Lukas Bucher into the box, equalized with their goals.

Peißenberg misses the best chances, Kempten strikes ice cold

At the beginning of the middle section, the lead for the home side was in the air several times.

Degenstein (21st), Niko Fissekis (22nd) and Moritz Birkner (23rd) did not get the disc past ESC goalkeeper Jennifer Harß.

Dominik Ebentheuer also failed with a break chance outnumbered by Harß (28th).

In return, Grötzinger (29th) marked his first power play hit, which was to be followed by two more.

Anton Zimmer (30th) and again Grözinger (36th) then extended the Kempten lead to 5:2.

The "Miners", on the other hand, missed the best chances before Fissekis raised hopes of a turnaround with the 3:5 for Peißenberg (38th).

Peißenberg shows morale despite a clear deficit

However, the Allgäu team quickly destroyed that at the beginning of the final round with a powerplay double pack from Grötzinger (41st) and Zimmer (47th).

Despite the 3:7 deficit, the Peißenberg team showed morale and braced themselves against the impending defeat.

Max Willberger (49th) and Pawliczek (54th) also scored two more goals.

Since Robert Lepine converted a highly controversial penalty (52nd) and also hit Harrogate (59th), it didn't get exciting anymore.
