The German team has little hope for the Super-G.

Favorites are the Norwegian Kilde and the Swiss Odermatt.

Yanqing - On February 8, the men's Super-G at the Olympic Winter Games in China is coming up.

It starts at 11:00 a.m. local time (4:00 a.m. in Germany).

But the prospects for the German drivers are not good.

After the previous day Romed Baumann (13th place), Andreas Sander (17th place) and Josef Ferstl (23rd place) could not tear much on the descent.

"Sentence with X", said Ferstl after the race.

"We're just not into the music," said head coach Christian Schwaiger, in the curves, his athletes "couldn't keep up with the absolute world class" - not a good prospect for the Super-G on Tuesday.

"You don't have to hope for miracles," said Schwaiger.

The favorites at Super-G are: Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (Norway), Marco Odermatt (Switzerland), Matthias Mayer (Austria).

Romed Baumann (Kiefersfelden), Andreas Sander (Ennepetal), Josef Ferstl (Hammer) and Simon Jocher (Garmisch) are starting for Germany.

But maybe our ski aces will still manage to surprise and sell themselves better.
