Coach Jürgen Kaspar stops at the end of the season at the football district class FC Forstern.

He has known most of the team since he was a youngster.

Forstern

– spokesman Albert Bowinzki seemed a little contrite: “We would have liked to have continued with him.

He was certainly one of the best coaches of the last ten years, both professionally and personally.

We are and were 100 percent satisfied with him.” Jürgen Kaspar will give up his coaching position at FC Forstern at the end of the season.

The football district classist wants to find a successor in the next few weeks.

Kaspar would advise his club to have a player-coach.

An experienced man who may have played one or two classes higher - "that would certainly do the young team good," says the 54-year-old, "but of course that's up to the club".

FC Forstern: 14 players under the age of 22

The relationship between the club and the coach is excellent, as Bowinzki assures.

“Jürgen's decision is a pity, but also absolutely understandable.

There aren't any negative thoughts either.” On the one hand, Kaspar names private reasons that make it no longer possible for him to commit the time.

In addition, it is high time that his team got a coach.

He had already trained a large part of the troupe from E to A youth and then, after a break, also looked after the men's area.

"Certain things have simply ingrained themselves," says Kaspar.

A new impetus is important for the team, which has 14 players aged 22 and under and only one player over 30.

That could tease out another 10 or 15 percent more performance.

FC Forstern is currently only six points ahead of the first relegation place in ninth place in the district class.

The team is capable of much more, says Kaspar, "but if four top performers drop out completely in the preliminary round, it's difficult to compensate for that."

The plight of the injured was a constant companion.

Teams like SV Eichenried have a broad squad, "but if I suddenly find myself without six, I have to peddle at AH."

The personnel situation is now improving a little.

Kaspar is confident that FC will establish itself in the secure midfield and will also be a district class in the coming season.

And his future?

"I would contradict myself if I were to accept another coaching offer now," he says.

At least for the near future.

"Never say never," he adds.

Not only Albert Bowinzki would be happy.
