In recent weeks the Washington Wizards have expressed interest in Indiana Pacers center Domantas Savonis, but tonight (Tuesday) it was revealed that they lost the race to the Sacramento Kings, who managed to land the Lithuanian two days to the end of the trade window in the NBA.

Danny Abdia's name has been mentioned that he may move from the capital as part of the deal, but now the Indiana option is out of the question for him.
Savonis moved to the Kings along with Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday and a future second-round pick, the team from California sent in return Tyris Haliberton, Buddy the Boy and Tristan Thompson.
During the season it became known that the Pacers, who are ranked 13th in the East, may move to rebuilding and part with their senior assets, and after Chris Lovert was transferred to Cleveland, now the All-Star player in 2020 and 2021 has moved west.
Alongside one of the league's top scorers in the character of the boy, the Pacers also receive one of the most successful graduates of the Draft 2020 in the character of Oliverton.
The Kings, who are ranked 13th in the West, are desperate to break the drought and return to the playoffs for the first time since 2006. The team holds a 35:20 balance, two games behind New Orleans which is in tenth place leading to the playoffs.
