Lena Dürr has been involved in slalom for a long time - but the Munich native only made her breakthrough this season.

Ex-Olympic champion Maria Höfl-Riesch sees her "psychological" advantage before the race in Yanqing.
The pressure is on the favorites Mikaela Shiffrin (USA), Petra Vlhova (Slovakia) and Wendy Holdener (Switzerland).
The latter all showed nerves in giant slalom, Shiffrin even dropped out at the seventh gate.
Dürr skipped the giant slalom and fully focused on her favorite discipline, the slalom.

"Now I'm ready." Dürr herself doesn't like to talk about her chances of a medal.
But, she said, "I don't know that I've had so much fun and joy over the past few years" in what she does.
And that is still the best prerequisite for success.
