TSV Eching loses its top scorer and first-choice goalkeeper due to internal disagreements.

In addition, a summer newcomer said goodbye.

Eching

– bang at the district top division TSV Eching: After a rift between the coaching team and top scorer Kelly Scholz and keeper Katharina Prummer, there is no longer any basis for further cooperation.

However, the goals for the season remain untouched despite the winter change - even if TSV coach Jan Strehlow even has to do without three regular players at the start of the second half of the season.

Scholz (27), who scored nine of Echinger's twelve goals this season, claims to have struggled with the decision to leave the zebras for a long time.

"But after a few incidents and disagreements with the coaching team, there was no other choice for me personally." She also emphasizes "that this never had anything to do with the team".

Goalkeeper Prummer (28) also refers to events that “have not been properly clarified” when taking the step.

The players did not want to be more specific.

There is no longer any common ground

Coach Strehlow explains that problems in the coach-player relationship have repeatedly arisen over a long period of time.

"It's true that there was no final conversation, but it's also true that we've had numerous conversations in the last six months," said the trainer, who no longer saw any common ground: "It was already in November it was foreseeable for both sides that there would be no further cooperation between the parties.”

Which club Scholz and Prummer will now join remains unclear for the time being: they say they are currently without a club.

At the same time, Scholz explains that he trains regularly with the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Bergheim.

Prummer could also be seen training there via social networks.

Elena Fischer moves to FC Neufahrn

But that's not all: In addition, summer newcomer Elena Fischer is leaving the club for the winter break and moving to FC Neufahrn.

"The team in Eching was super nice and cool," says the 24-year-old policewoman, who, according to coach Strehlow, fitted in very well with the team.

"But the long away trips in the BOL and the frequent training sessions were just too stressful compared to the shift work." The former player of SGS Essen and VfL Bochum wants to approach football less performance-oriented in the future and see it more as a compensation.

"However, I obviously want to support my new team in the second half of the season and stay up in the league."

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

All in all, the zebras have to compensate for three departures.

"Certainly we cannot directly replace Kelly, Kathi and Elena.

But I'm also sure that one or the other player can now get a chance to flourish more often," says Strehlow.

After all, with Sabrina Wörmann, an Echinger goalkeeper talent is coming back.

And the 15-year-old keeper Lorena Sukaj could already play along in terms of performance.

Even if she is currently still too young to play in the women's BOL.

TSV Eching has its sights set on staying up

"The main problem is not replacing the three players, but rather keeping the team together in the context of the pandemic.

That will be the deciding factor across all teams and leagues.

This discussion overshadows everything,” emphasizes Strehlow.

Despite all the hurdles, the goal of the season, staying up in the district league, remains untouched.

"Nevertheless, we want to take the pressure off and focus on having fun," says the coach, who now has to adjust tactics and line-up.

With these specifications, his team started the preparations last week.
